Noaa Lark delivers a spellbinding set of dark, thoughtful music with literate lyrics and head-nodding grooves. It’s smart, visceral rock underscored by soaring pedal steel and low-tuned guitars.
A distinguished music school dropout, traveler, and inveterate street poet, Noaa hails from the San Francisco Bay area and brings a high level of craft and grit to songwriting. His music has always been steeped in the traditions it carefully defies - americana as much as grunge, folk as much as soul. But in the upcoming EP, Ambrosia, the Black Morning, he strays from the softer americana sound that characterized his debut record. Set for release in February 2027, the EP is decidedly dark and raw, featuring overdriven solo performances and a 7-minute epic with a full band.
In 2024, Noaa was a finalist in NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest, and was featured with the top 45 entrants in their Top Shelf series. His debut record,In the Language of Dreams, was release in 2024.
